Sintra e-bike rental · Sintra
A Sintra shop rents you an e-bike for the day, loads a route app on your phone and sends you off to the palaces and out to Cabo da Roca. Pick it to beat the traffic and set your own Regaleira slot; the hills are steep even with a motor, and riders must be at least 160 cm tall.

This isn't a tour. You collect an e-bike at Tv. João de Deus 7B in Sintra, get a helmet, a phone holder, a spare phone charger and a route app that works on GPS with spoken directions, and ride for the day. Guests name the shop Go2Sintra and its owner Jose, and mention van support if something goes wrong. Lockers and free bike parking near the monuments are included.
Regaleira works well this way. Buy a timed ticket on the official shop for EUR 20, ride there for your slot, lock the bike and stay as long as you like: two or three hours if you want the whole estate. Then climb to Pena, or roll west through the hills to Cabo da Roca. One guest logged a long loop of 36.9 km with 734 m of climbing; another rode 35 km in 33°C heat.
The motor helps, but Sintra is steep. Guests describe the hills as tough even on the e-bike, and the listing doesn't recommend it for anyone uncomfortable riding in hilly traffic, or with back or heart problems. Riders must be at least 160 cm tall, which rules out most children. Monument tickets and meals are extra.
At Tv. João de Deus 7B in Sintra: helmet, phone holder, spare charger and a briefing on the bike and the app.
Ride to the estate for your timed ticket, lock up and explore for as long as you want.
The steep climb to Pena and the Moorish Castle, or the forest roads beyond.
West to mainland Europe's westernmost point, or a beach for lunch.
Back to the shop in Sintra by the end of the rental.
★★★★★The app that you use to navigate (using GPS, no need for wi-fi) made for a really easy trip with spoken cues and the bike had a handlebar mount for my phone so navigating could not have been easier. [...] Jose also provides van support if something goes wrong, which was such a comfort to know I had.
★★★★★We choose the long tour. Distance 36.9 Km & Elevation gain of 734 m & Duration 3h23. The bicycles are very good. I was particularly impressed with the battery.
★★★★★Amazing ride to the coast through small towns and checking out various castles along the way.
