Quinta da Regaleira is run by the Fundação Cultursintra, a foundation of the Sintra council, and it sets its own prices. Those prices have climbed fast. An adult paid EUR 12 in 2024, EUR 15 in 2025, and pays EUR 20 since January 2026, according to the official 2026 fee notice.
That is a two-thirds rise in two years. It also changes the sums on half the Sintra tours sold in Lisbon, because most of them do not include the Regaleira ticket. They book it for you and collect the money in euros on the day.
The quick answer
In 2026 an adult ticket costs EUR 20, youths (6-17) and seniors (65+) EUR 15, children up to 5 go free, and a family ticket for 2 adults and 2 youths is EUR 60. Buy it only at regaleira.byblueticket.pt. Tours that collect EUR 20 cash charge the official price; EUR 21.50 or EUR 25 is above it.
How much is a Quinta da Regaleira ticket in 2026?
EUR 20 for adults aged 18 to 64. Youths and seniors pay EUR 15, under-6s go free, and the family ticket is EUR 60.
Every ticket is a self-guided entry for one date and one time slot. Slots run every half hour from 10:00 to 17:00, and you can arrive up to an hour late. The prices below come from the official visits page, which lists them as valid from January 2026.
Two groups get in free: residents with a tax address in the municipality of Sintra, and registered tourism professionals such as licensed guides. Children under 6 are free too, but their ticket is issued at the gate, so bring an ID that shows their age.
| Ticket (2026) | Who | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Child | Up to 5 years | Free (ticket issued on site) |

| Disability | Person with disability + 1 companion, each | EUR 12 |
| Family | 2 adults + 2 youths (max 4) | EUR 60 |
| Audio guide | Rented at the ticket office only | EUR 5 |
How much did Regaleira tickets cost in 2025 and 2024?
Adults paid EUR 15 in 2025 and EUR 12 in 2024. Every category has gone up, and a few discounts have gone.
The old prices are still readable in archived copies of the official page: the 2025 table and the 2024 table. Compare them and three changes stand out beyond the headline rise.
First, the family ticket shrank. In 2025 it covered 2 adults and up to 4 youths for EUR 50. In 2026 it covers 2 adults and 2 youths for EUR 60. Two adults with four children paid EUR 50 in 2025; in 2026 they pay EUR 60 plus two youth tickets, EUR 90. Second, the 2025 table offered 10% off the adult ticket with a Lisboa Card; the 2026 table lists no Lisboa Card discount at all, and says tickets are not valid with other discounts. Third, visitors with a disability went from free in 2024 to EUR 8 in 2025 and EUR 12 now, and the free entry for over-80s from 2024 is gone.
| Ticket | 2024 | 2025 | 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Adult (18-64) | EUR 12 | EUR 15 | EUR 20 |
| Youth (6-17) | EUR 7 | EUR 10 | EUR 15 |
| Senior (65+) | EUR 7 (80+ free) | EUR 10 | EUR 15 |
| Disability + companion, each | Free | EUR 8 | EUR 12 |
| Family | EUR 32 (2 + up to 4 youths) | EUR 50 (2 + up to 4 youths) | EUR 60 (2 + 2 youths) |
| Lisboa Card | 20% off adult | 10% off adult | Not listed |
| Audio guide | EUR 5 | EUR 5 | EUR 5 |

What do Sintra tours charge for the Regaleira ticket now?
Most ask for EUR 20 in cash on the day, which matches the official price. A few ask for more, and two include it.
This is the part that catches people out. A tour with "Regaleira" in the title usually means a stop there, not a ticket. On the half days, the small-group half day from Sintra and the half day from Lisbon reserve your slot and collect EUR 20 in cash, the same as the official price. Fair enough.
The SPR Tours day trip lists EUR 21.50 per adult and EUR 16 for over-65s, cash to the guide: EUR 1.50 above face value for adults and EUR 1 for seniors. The listing of the private Sintra day still names EUR 25 per person for Regaleira, which is EUR 5 more than the gate price. Ask the operator before you pay that, or buy your own ticket and give them the slot time.
Only the all-tickets-included tour and the private Regaleira half day fold the ticket into the price. Our full comparison is in which Sintra tours include Regaleira.
| Tour | Regaleira ticket | Versus EUR 20 official |
|---|---|---|
| Half day from Sintra | EUR 20 cash to the guide | Same |

EUR 20 cash on the day, the official price, and 90 minutes inside after Pena's terraces.
Check dates for the half day from SintraIs a tour with the tickets included better value in 2026?
It is closer than it used to be. Regaleira plus Pena's palace now cost EUR 40 per adult at the gate before any transport.
The all-tickets tour starts at $136 and covers transport from Lisbon, a guided visit inside Pena Palace and an hour at Regaleira on your own, in a group of eight. Buy the same two entries yourself and you spend EUR 20 at Regaleira and EUR 20 for Pena's Essential ticket (palace and park). Pena's guided palace visit, if you want a guide inside, is EUR 75 on its own.
A cheaper day with cash tickets can still win on price. Take the small-group day at $62 and add EUR 20 for Regaleira and Pena's park. What you give up is the guide inside Pena and the convenience of having nothing to sort out on the day. Our take: if you hate handling slots and cash, the included ticket is worth it now. If you like to choose your own time inside, it is not.

Both palace tickets in the price, a guided visit inside Pena and an hour in Regaleira's gardens, in a van of eight.

Pena's Essential visit (palace and park) is also EUR 20 for adults. Park only is EUR 12, and a guided palace visit is EUR 75.
Pena belongs to Parques de Sintra, a different organisation with a different ticket shop. Its 2026 price list has more tiers than Regaleira's. Youths and seniors get less of a discount at Pena, where they pay EUR 18 for the Essential visit.
Tours often sell Pena's "terraces" or park, not the palace rooms. The half-day listings ask EUR 10 or EUR 12 cash for that; the official park-only adult price is EUR 12. The private day's listing names EUR 15 for Pena's park, three euros above the official adult price. For which one to pick if you only have time for one, read Pena or Regaleira.
| Pena ticket (2026) | Adult | Youth / senior | Family |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential (palace + park) | EUR 20 | EUR 18 | EUR 65 |
| Park only | EUR 12 | EUR 10 | EUR 40 |
| Complete visit | EUR 45 | EUR 20 / EUR 35 | EUR 115 |
| Guided palace visit | EUR 75 | EUR 20 / EUR 67.50 | EUR 170 |
Where do you buy the Regaleira ticket at the official price?
Only at regaleira.byblueticket.pt or at the ticket office. Other websites resell it at a mark-up and the estate will not help if they fail.
The foundation calls regaleira.byblueticket.pt its only authorised online shop and says it accepts no responsibility for tickets bought anywhere else. Tickets are personal and non-refundable. You can move your slot through the official shop up to 48 hours before, and you get a grace period of one hour after your time.
The audio guide (EUR 5, 30 listening points, seven languages) cannot be booked online. Rent it at the ticket office, subject to availability. The ticket office takes cash, debit and credit cards, but not American Express.
The official shop also sells special guided visits, such as Regaleira by night, from EUR 30. Those are separate from the day ticket and run on set dates. Step-by-step booking help is in our Regaleira tickets guide.
The Regaleira ticket already in the price, with a private guide and hotel pickup in Lisbon.
